Building the first rendered world
Sovereign moved from an empty game repository to an early whole-Earth view with terrain, borders, waterways, cities, and coastline water.
Sovereign became visible for the first time. The project established the game repository and early world-building pipeline, then brought several layers of the planet together in one rendered view rather than testing them as disconnected technical pieces.
What changed
- The first working world pipeline and game shell came online.
- Terrain, borders, waterways, settlements, and coastline water began to read as one place.
- A detailed port study helped define the visual-development workflow.
Next
The next step was to improve scale, lighting, materials, and the relationship between the simulated world and the scenes players will actually read at game zoom.
